You Were Warned

Some observing and astute fans of Delton Force might recall that I predicted climbing would be D-Man’s favorite activity of 2009. Now, for those out there who think trilogies are the only way to fly, I now present the long awaited Delton Force Studios Trilogy: (and just in case you’ve forgotten, ALL great film is presented in trilogy form..The Matrix, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, The Godfather, Rocky, Back to The Future and Die Hard to name a few)

The Summitting

Starring: Delton W Phelps, aka My Main Man Miroki aka Baby Joaquin

Produced and Directed by Uncle/Daddy Dub

Written by The Mind of Miroki

Episode 1- The Approach

Episode II- The Ascent

Episode C- Return of The King: The Ascent

I guess a Delton update is obligatory since he is now 16 months and I didn’t even mention anything about that or his 15 months. The Delton Force Trilogy more or less speaks for itself but he can walk and talk and recently decided that baby food is not for him anymore. He likes most things that you put in front of him but for some strange reasons does not like two of the staples of my diet, Chicken and Pizza. I’m telling you right now if he rejects Nachos, he doesn’t belong to me, despite mountains of evidence disproving that.

I would be completely out of bounds if I did not at least mention my excitement about The Super Bowl this weekend. I’m pretty sure I’ll create a smorgasbord that includes Chicken, Pizza and Nachos and report back on whether Delton actually ate any of it.

NERD ALERT!!!

Some of you may not know this about me but I stalk blogs on a daily basis. Here are three of my favorite blogs about personal finance. Since the lovely wife of mine can only tolerate so much personal finance talk, I have to find other outlets. I can’t help it. I got my undergrad in Finance and it’s interesting to me. So, if that kind of stuff bores you, consider this your fair warning to just move along, there’s nothing for you to see here.

Get Rich Slowly (Since I couldn’t pick a favorite post: here, here and here is a link about Roth IRA’s. There is currently an opportunity for everyone to roll traditionals into Roths in 2010 with no tax penalty. That might not be there next year though. You see, there is a new president at the White House and he is all about change.

All Financial Matters is another good one.

I also like The Finance Buff.

I thought it would be a nice change if Delton’s school teachers updated you on what Big D Money does during his days.

“AM Buggy Ride with Ms K and Ms J. Helped decorate bulletin board. Bible Story. *Spit up on pants this morning”

“Delton had a great day. He played with the hand puppets. He really liked the duck best, it makes a quack sound. He thought that was funny. We read “I see the baby” and looked at himself in the mirror.”

“Delton had a wonderful day. He ate ALL of his lunch. The cheese, he crumbled and played with before eating it. Everything else too! We had exercise day today. We listened to a Music and Movement CD and danced and did leg & floor exercises!”

“Story Time, painted in journal, had a puppet show”

“Delton was a fun happy guy today. We read some books, tried to do some chalk drawing – what didn’t go in his mouth! We also went out for a morning buggy ride. He really enjoyed that! Sweet Boy.”

So, as you can see, Delton has fans everywhere he goes. I am a huge fan of his too! (Except for the part that he messed up my back. It could be that he’s just getting too big for me to throw around in the air and play games. But no, it’s definitely his fault.)

It was cold enough for D Man to wear his double tough hoodie last week
